Christmas Holiday in Doha
Tuesday December 5th, 2017 / Travel
Have you ever thought about living a vacation in the middle of the desert?
So what are you waiting for? Doha, the capital of Qatar is definitely one of the best destinations!
And now I’ll explain why!
How to reach Doha?
Qatar Airways is Qatar’s TOP company, I highly recommend it as Skytrax (a global airline performance review system) has given Qatar Airways the top spot in 2015’s top airlines, which means you can enjoy a flight of about 6 hours in complete comfort at 5 stars.
Hamad International Airport
Doha Airport (Hamad International Airport) is first and foremost one of the best places for an airport stopover, since those who travel often and do long trips know that a scheduled flight costs less than a direct flight, and this airport Doha knows it very well, that’s why you can spend hours without boring.
Relaxing areas with television, shops, great brands, a typical and international gourmet offer, quite rooms with reclining armchairs, and of course free wi-fi.
Is not that enough? too low? you are in the right place!
If you have several hours to spend, you may even enjoy a health center, a gym, and I recommend you keep your swimsuit on top of the suitcase for an indoor swimming pool.
And if you are not a sports fan?
Well, no problem, you can always relax with a sauna and a whirlpool.
Finally, if you plan to spend the night at the hotel you can book at The Airport Hotel located inside the airport.
What to add, if you choose Doha Airport for a stopover … Enjoy!
But if Doha is your ultimate destination, be prepared for many more amazing discoveries!
How to reach the center of the city?
During the exit route from the airport you will be issued the entry visa (do not worry, it is a fast and straightforward procedure at the exit stage).
After that, as in most international airports, as soon as you get to the exit you will find a lot of taxi waiting for us, the costs are not expensive but my advice is to change a few money at the airport (cause high conversion rates) just to get to your hotel, and then make the change directly on the spot, keeping in mind that you can pay a lot of things by Credit Card.
What to see in Doha?
Let’s go into the subject now, what to see in Doha?
Doha is a city to discover, divided into two “old” and “modern” parts where tradition meet the innovation and where everything is cared for in every detail.
The Pearl of Qatar
An artificial island of nearly four million square meters, extends off West Bay, in one of the most adventurous urban projects ever undertaken.
The style of The Pearl-Qatar is a mixture of Arabic, Mediterranean and futuristic, in fact the island is divided into a series of neighborhoods, each with its own well-defined character.
A walk along the waterfront of Doha Bay, offers a breathtaking view of the city, from West Bay skyline to the tradition of the Islamic Art Museum.
Considerato uno dei quartieri più importanti di Doha, West Bay offre una visione futurista della città dove nasce inoltre la business city di Doha.
Considered the most important Doha souq, it is known for selling traditional garments, spices, handicrafts and souvenirs.
A trip to the past and in the traditions of this territory.
Village Mall is a mall located in the Aspire Zone in the west of Doha, the interior is of an Italian theme, in particular the shopping center is inspired by the city of Venice. In fact, it has built a canal that runs through the building , offering an unmissable and unique gondola ride.
Do not add anything else, otherwise that holiday would be!
